In Agorogbene community, Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, a suspected cable thief was handed a plate of noodles while being punished.
On Wednesday, April 20, the suspect, Preye Ayase, and his accomplice, Ringo Tareladei, were caught red-handed vandalizing power cables connecting the towns of Ogobiri and Agorogbene in Sagbama.
Meanwhile, Ouseibai Seperegha Godsgift M, President of the Creek Youths Agenda (CYA), has condemned the hoodlums for destroying, stealing, and vandalizing the electric infrastructure (cables) that connects the two towns.
Mr Ebis Okpeke, the President of the group, expressed his disappointment over the unfortunate incident and called on youths from the area to desist from such acts immediately as it will only spell doom for them while negatively affecting their development, according to a statement made available to newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary.
