Lagos Housewife Tortures Housemaid to Death for Stealing Indomie and Lies to the Police That She Committed Suicide.
Mrs. Nene Fortune Stephens, a housewife from number 18 Ogundola Street in Bariga Lagos, is being held at the police station for murder.
Miss Joy Akom Adole of Benue state was accused of torturing her maid to death over a dispute over salary arrears and the theft of Indomie noodles.
When she realized the girl had died, she hung her with the help of her husband and reported her to the police, claiming she had committed suicide.

The girl’s relatives, who were aware of the feud between the madam and the maid, raised an alarm, and police investigations revealed that the girl had been murdered.
The girl was covered in wounds and had her feet on the ground. She was hung after she had given up the ghost, according to the autopsy report.
Her husband was also apprehended as a co-conspirator. Mr. and Mrs. Stephens will be in court soon.
