Eligibility Criteria
Age Requirements
To apply for a full New Zealand Scholarship, you must be 18 years old or older when you start your scholarship. This means if you are 17 years of age when you apply, you must have your 18th birthday before you start your scholarship in semester one. Exception for Samoa: Scholars from Samoa can be 17 years of age when they commence their scholarship.
There is no upper age limit for applicants. This means if you are 18 and over, you can apply. However, applicants who are under 40 years of age are preferred for New Zealand Scholarships for university or tertiary students.;

Academic Requirements
As part of the New Zealand Scholarships application process, you need to choose your preferred education institution and preferred courses. Scholarship applicants don’t need to apply for admission to their preferred education institution and courses but they need to check that they are likely to meet the minimum academic requirements and the minimum level of English required for their courses.
Course entry requirements are set by your chosen education institution so you must check the minimum entry requirements on their website before you apply for a New Zealand Scholarship.
English Requirements
Each university or educational institution sets the minimum level of English you need for your preferred courses, so check their website.
Generally, to study for a postgraduate qualification, you must have at least:
• an overall IELTS score of 6.5 and no band less than 6.0
• a TOEFL score of 90 on the internet-based test with a writing score of 21
• an overall PTE Academic score of 58 with no communicative skills score less than 50
• a Cambridge Academic English (advanced) overall score of 176 with no bands less than 169.
Generally, to study for an undergraduate qualification, you must have at least:
• an overall IELTS score of 6.0 and no band less than 5.5
• a TOEFL score of 80 on the internet-based test with a writing score of 21
• an overall PTE Academic score of 50, with no communication skills score less than 42
• a Cambridge Academic English (advanced) overall score of 169 with no bands less than 162.
Contribution to their Country’s Development
Scholars are expected to contribute to their country’s social or economic development for two years after completing their scholarship study. The purpose of a New Zealand Scholarship is to fund the training of citizens from developing countries, so they can positively impact on their country’s development by sharing new skills and knowledge gained from their study. That is why scholars are expected to return home after their scholarship for at least two years to contribute to the social and economic development of their own country.
Work Experience Requirements
When assessing scholarship applications, applicants who want to study courses that align strongly with their current work experience and applicants who will continue working in their current job sector after they finish their scholarship are preferred.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD (ONE AWARD)
A $10,000 scholarship is to be applied to tuition, fees, books, and electronics, and up to $3,000 may be applied to on-campus housing. This award may be paid all at once or spread out over multiple semesters, including the summer session.
ELIGIBILITY
-Recipients must be Black or African American in regard to race.
-Must be an individual pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance, or a similar field.
-Must be an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student. Ph.D. students are not eligible.
-GPA must be at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale (or an analogous rank based on a comparable scale).
-You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
-Must be attending a college or university in the U.S.
-May be attending on-campus or online.
-May be attending full-time or part-time.
-If awarded: the funds will be sent to your school with instructions that it may be applied to tuition, fees, books, and required electronics, and up to $3,000 may be applied to on-campus housing. Awards are paid directly to the college or university; recipients do not receive the scholarship award directly.
-If you are being considered for the award, you agree to a short video interview with KnowBe4. -You must have camera capability for this meeting via computer, tablet, or phone camera.
-KnowBe4 and (ISC)² employees are not eligible for the award.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
1. Unofficial transcripts from your current (or most recent) educational institution. If awarded, no funds will be disbursed until official transcripts are received.
2. One letter of recommendation outlining the following:
a). How long have you known the applicant, and in what capacity?
b). What skills or abilities does the applicant have that will support them in completing a degree?
c). What other information about the applicant should be taken into consideration?
d). Academic references are preferred; however, you may submit a professional letter of reference addressing the points above.
3. Resume/CV – No more than three pages maximum. Do not include links to publications.
4. Essay questions are to be filled out in the application. Each answer should be no more than 250 words:
a). Describe your background (personal, educational, and military) and accomplishments.
b). Tell us how this scholarship will impact your cybersecurity career path. What would receiving this scholarship mean to you?
c). What or who inspired you to pursue a career in cybersecurity? What makes you a candidate for success in information security, and what are your goals for your professional career?
d). When you graduate and secure a career in our industry, what steps can you take to “pay it forward” by supporting others (currently in school, recent graduates, mid-career transition) new to our field?
e). Describe any contributions to the cybersecurity field i.e., volunteer work, articles, etc., and any other hobbies or extracurricular activities and what they mean to you. (Do not include links to articles).
SCORING CRITERIA
Applicants will be scored by members of (ISC)2 and scholarship sponsors (if applicable). Scoring will be based on three categories:

Cyber Security Scholarship in Hungary
Scholarship Description
Stipendium Hungaricum – Hungary Government Scholarships 2024 is open for International Students. The scholarship allows Masters level program (s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Hungary Universities. The deadline for the scholarship is OPEN.
Hungary’s Government offers every year fully funded scholarships for masters programs to international students. Stipendium Hungaricum fully funded scholarships are one the most prestigious scholarships in the European region. The basic purpose of the scholarship is to support the internationalization of Hungarian Higher education and its constant development and to strengthen the international linkages of the academic and research community. Also to promote the good reputation and competitiveness of Hungarian higher education throughout the world. Founded by the Hungarian Government in 2013, the program is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation.
It is based on bilateral education agreements between Hungary and the governments of the sending countries, and is already available on five continents in almost 90 countries and territories, attracting more than 5000 international students each year. Applicants are offered more than 600 full-degree programs, covering all higher education fields at all degree levels, including part-time and doctoral programs.
We can proudly state that more than 81 percent of our scholarship holders would choose Hungary again, which we see as an inspiration to further broaden the scope of the scholarship in the future.

Scholarship Benefits
Bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, and non-degree programs
–Tuition-free education – exemption from the payment of tuition fee
-Monthly stipend – non-degree, bachelor’s, master’s, and one-tier master’s level: monthly amount of HUF 43,700 (cca EUR 120) contribution to the living expenses in Hungary, for 12 months a year, until the completion of studies.
-Accommodation contribution – free dormitory place or a contribution of HUF 40,000/month to accommodation costs for the whole duration of the scholarship period (Please note that if the student does not live in the dormitory, the HUF 40,000/month is a contribution to that rental costs, and in bigger cities – especially in the capital city – this contribution would not cover the full amount of rental costs.)
-Medical insurance – health care services according to the relevant Hungarian legislation (Act LXXX of 1997, national health insurance card) and supplementary medical insurance for up to HUF 65 000 (cca. 180 EUR) a year/person.
Please bear in mind that these provisions are only a contribution to the living expenses of the Scholarship Holders.
