Shocking News: As Mortuary Attendant Arrested For Severing Head Of A Dead Child For Just N50k
On Tuesday morning, April 26, agents of the state government-owned security organization, the So-Safe Corps, detained a mortuary attendant named Kushimo Lukman in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, for reportedly cutting off the head of a deceased boy.
The suspect was described as “an acclaimed mortuary attendant working with MABOD in Oke-Yidi, Abule Oloni, Abeokuta,” according to the So-Safe Corps.
According to Moruf Yusuf, a spokesman for the So-Safe Corps, Lukman, who lives at 9 Abule Oloni, Oke Yidi, Abeokuta, was apprehended by officials of the agency while on routine patrol.

The guy was apprehended after allegedly beheading a male minor’s body in Abeokuta’s Oke Yidi cemetery.
Lukman has confessed to the murder, according to the spokesperson, who also revealed that “the beheaded corpse was transported to the cemetery from the Federal Medical Centre FMC, Abeokuta, after he died owing to complications from a renal condition.”

According to Yusuf, Lukman said that the boy’s parents, who came from Ibadan, sought his help as a mortuary attendant to have the boy’s body buried, and that he buried the boy’s body within the cemetery, in the presence of his parents, at around 19:00 hrs on Monday.
“However, on Tuesday at 6 a.m., he returned to the cemetery and severed the head of the buried boy, and he was apprehended after a fierce fight with the So-Safe cops, who eventually overpowered him.”
The suspect admitted that a new head was demanded for N50,000 by one Chief Ifalonishe (AKA Lanroye). It was meant to be delivered to him in Abeokuta at a specific location.” Yusuf remarked
Security officers are now conducting an investigation in order to apprehend more suspects connected to the murder.
